Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of a regionally accredited post-secondary institution and possess, at a minimum, an Associate’s Degree.
- Must be currently credentialed as a nationally registered paramedic and be licensed in Mississippi with no restrictions. Additional certifications in CPR for Healthcare Providers, ACLS, and PHTLS, are required.
- Must be knowledgeable in instruction and testing of paramedic students, and be proactive in scheduling clinical rotations for learning outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaches courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follows the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the department faculty state and national EMS education standards and administered by the director of Emergency Medical Technology.
- Establishes and maintains a good relationship with clinical affiliates and preceptors.
- Keeps abreast of current trends in the field to assure that methods and techniques are relevant
